A company I recently left used a product called Uniface from Compuware it runs under Unix Motif. It works in several gui environments as well as character terminals. It is, however, far from perfect. You can probably get more information from the newsgroup comp.soft-sys.app-builder.uniface. Since I am a dba and not a programmer.
