Hello Everybody:

I am new to Oracle et. tools and i have general question about SQL*LDR to implement locks on the tables. We are using SQLLDR to load data into tables from formatted files and my question is:

    [Quoted]
  1. Does SQLLDR implement implicit locks on the tables that are being loaded (both for read and write)?
  2. Or is there any way of explicit locking for the tables so as to avoid any dirty reads while loading?

Thanks in Advance
Dheeraj Reddy
