Hi Stefan,

read Cary Milsap, Optimizing Oracle for Performance.

My approach would be to start with the business transaction or GUI screen, where your customer experiences the biggest problem and can generate the largest benefit by getting this faster.

Once you tuned this, step ahead to the second one.
