Guys,
I'd be interested in knowing what experiences you've had with the system overhead in running OEM in Oracle 10.

I ask this because I recently started dbconsole on a system (Oracle 10.1.0.3 running on HP Tru-64 Unix) so that I could examine the instance using the OEM web console. I left dbconsole running and it caused the database overnight load which normally takes 10 hours to take 12 instead. The load basically does insert /append/s from selects to a remote system.

Is a 20% performance degradation typical of OEM?

cheers,
