Beatrice, are you asking about the database itself, that is, the rdbms or are you asking about Oracle Applications?

A database does not really process claims, an application does. It just handles inserts, updates, and deletes while providing a tool set to be used to code application logic with.

In my opinion the Oracle database is the finest commercial rdbms available on the market today. I have no opinion on Oracle Application modules.
