You haven't shown any analysis as to why adding a core to your system will improve MySQL performance - or if you even have a performance problem.
There are lots of techniques for big sites to handle heavy traffic, all of which are off-topic in this newsgroup. But they are all based on analyzing performance problems and solving the cause of the performance problems.
