Hi Tim,
That would be nice but some circumstances we are forced to use backup - based duplication (may be because we have to restore to a quite old point in time, or because we must restore to different network,or because we want to apply the same strategy to some 11.2 DBs... ), thus we cannot always rely on PFBs hot clones
