Exadata x6-2 with x8-2 Cells

Hi
IHAC who is considering upgrading eighth x6-2 cells to x8-2 cells but we
have some doubts. (by the way the idea was upgrading to x6-2 quarter cells
but Oracle does not ship it anymore)
The compute nodes x6-2 runs Oracle Linux 6 and 11.2.0.4 and 12.2.0.1
databases plus 12.2.0.1 grid infrastructure, Iam reading MOS note *Exadata
19.2.2.0.0 release and patch (29769137) (Doc ID 2535768.1)* and it seems
that the compute nodes must run Oracle Linux 7?
Anyone are facing such upgrade?
