answers:
Q1) If you are doing duplicate database from the backup, that backup has
its time. Nothing newer than that backup time will not be copied.
Q2) Yes, you can. Please use scp or similar utility.
Q3) The best place to look is V$ARCHIVED_LOG
My turn to ask questions:
1) Why would you copy the archived logs manually? Duplicate DB will do
that for you automagically.
2) Why do you need to know which logs are needed. Again, duplicate will
do that automagically.
I was awoken by the phone, so I am not in the best of shapes right now.
I will create an example for you this afternoon.
AFAIK, you are using Commvault so there should be no problem with the
backup SW of choice.
