There's a kindle app for the iphone and ipad, and I "think" there's one for the PC.

Once you own the Ebook, Amazon doesn't pull it from the owners. The cases of Amazon pulling books is when there is a dispute with the publisher and they pull them down so consumers can't buy them until the dispute is settled.

Kindle's are usually drm and there has been the odd complaint of amazon pulling the ebooks back without your consent ... So guess it won't be any good to you
