Multiple versions of oracle

It is very much possible to have two instance of oracle on same server, where in eace instance serving different purpose. Both the instances will have the same ORACLE_HOME with different ORALCE_SID'S (Unix) i.e PROD for production and TEST for testing and both will be using the same ORACLE exe.

We are having two instances of oracle with same exe.
