Hi Mark,

My tip is:

Take 2GB Drives,

Reason: Even with AIX 4.1 your biggest file will be 2G.

Your configuration looks very well, have a look to your backup medium. Are you cabale of backing up a whole drive onto a single medium ? (For us: 8mm Exabyte holds only 2,3 Gig)

We use serveral 2 Gig and several 4Gig drives (with 3.2.5 partitioned into 2*2G)

Another tip: For RS6000 make sure you get the newer 10MB/sec SCSI cards and not the old 3MB/sec (can't believe they are still sold).
