Who ever declared that values that are not expressed as some quantity of some unit "can be not applicable for db" ??????

I'd rather say it's the values that *ARE* expressed as some quantity of some unit that might be problematic. By omitting mention of the unit and assuming it's the local default e.g.

An American research lab once got spreadsheets from a European lab with some data for some experiment, where weights were expressed in metric units, but this was nowhere articulated. The Americans interpreted the weights as pounds, proceeded with the experiment, and the lab no longer exists today. Received on Tue May 30 2006 - 12:45:14 CEST
