You want just "a datamodel" or "the datamodel that is appropriate for your application"? The answer could vary from "as a string" to "as a complete syntax tree". So could you tell a bit more about why you want to do this and what has to be done with the stored data? That might also take away any lingering doubts about this being an assignment. :-)
