I'm wrong again.

Just as a (finite) set of surfaces does not make a 3-d space, so likewise a (finite) set of tracks does not make a 2-d space.

Disk data is really stored in 1 dimension, but the geometry is such that random access is acheived by jumping over data, rather than by winding by it. Received on Sun Apr 18 2004 - 20:37:51 CEST
