Well having highlighted the natural suitability of Pick for XML strorage, the same is true of MUMPS (the best known implementation being Cache)

You may want to have a look at our eXtc product which provides a native XML DOM implementation straight into Cache. I won't waffle on here about it - have a look at our web site for details - www.mgateway.com

Its interesting the way XML has brought back new life into the old hierarchical databases, while the projection of XML into relational databases is messy to say the least (although of course they all have XML capabilities)
