Re: The Data Administration Newsletter -- http://www.tdan.com

The next issue of TDAN.com will be announced on April 1. The latest issue includes articles on web mining, warehouse CSF, stewardship, XML and EDI, knowledge management, repository implementation, and more. These articles will be archive-bound when the next issue is announced in a month.

The Data Administration Newsletter (TDAN.com) is a free on-line publication that focuses on the management of data and information as a valued corporate resource. Please register on-line at http://www.tdan.com/registra.htm.

Since the last announcement, several changes and additions have been made to the newsletter. New jobs have been added to the job classified section for a senior data administrator, enterprise data architect, dimensional modeler, data strategies consultant, … all good jobs with great companies -- http://www.tdan.com/jobclass.htm.

New conferences have been added including two ASP industry conferences and an electronic commerce world conference. Also TDAN.com will be a media sponsor of the information quality conferences in Anaheim and London in the fall. TDAN.com and CIBER, Inc. are delivering a local e-Business Intelligence forum in Pittsburgh this spring. Lots of opportunities for knowledge transfer are listed on the web's most comprehensive conference list -- http://www.tdan.com/conferences.htm.

I will be speaking at the DAMA International Symposium/Metadata conference in Washington, D.C. this month -- http://www.wilshireconferences.com/md/ -- and ISI's 20th Annual Customer Information Conference in Pittsburgh -- http://www.isiconference-us.com/ next month. Please take the time to introduce yourself if you have the opportunity to attend one or both of these events.

Several months ago I started a program where I would pay for the book if you published a review in the TDAN.com book review section. Response has been light but the offer is still out there. If you have read a good book recently on a topic related to this publication, and you provide a review that is published, you will be reimbursed for the price of the book. Please read the instructions on the book review page -- http://www.tdan.com/bookrev.htm.

I am always looking for new and different authors for future issues. Several people, in response to the Survey 2000, stated an interest in submitting articles for publication (you know who you are!). Articles are accepted year round with deadlines approximately a month before a new issue is announced. I will gladly review a draft of an article or article outline and respond to you quickly on its relevance and appropriateness for this audience.

One last note -- The Data Administration Newsletter received close to 300k hits in the months of January and February of 2000 combined. With this volume, the number of unique visitors and unique visitor sessions continues to climb. To top it off … the average reader is spending more then 10 minutes per visit to the TDAN.com web-site. TDAN.com presents an inexpensive opportunity for companies to reach these professionals in the data-related industries through sponsorship and advertising. TDAN.com also presents a great first publishing opportunity for readers of the publication. For more information please send me an email to rseiner_at_tdan.com.

I greatly appreciate your continued interest in the publication. Like always, please send me an email if you have a question, comment, suggestion for TDAN.com.

Have a good month.

Best Regards,
Bob Seiner Received on Wed Mar 01 2000 - 00:00:00 CET
