Snapshot from DB2

Is that possible to create a snapshot from a DB2 table? Currently we are running a java program which select from source DB2 (8) table and insert into destination oracle (8.1.7) table. (one to one).

I am wondering is there any tool/method available to do this through snapshot or any other similar method.
