Encryption (or hashing) algorithms

Hi people,
I was wondering if Oracle 8.1.6 EE includes in the standard installation
some kind of encryption or hashing algorithms in PL/SQL. We have a web
application and the user is authenticated through a web page and we
would not like to store the users' passwords in plain text in the
database, they must be at least encrypted or hashed.
