graphical import & export tool

I have oracle8i ver 8.6.1 then i user commend line import and
export tools and it worked fine ,When I use graphical tools it does
everything with an end great successful messege but actually
no real results i.e. when i used export graphical tools it
worked without any error messege but no dump files had been
exported.
Pls help
