Your options are basically two.

  1. Continue running in NOARCHIVELOG as you are now, in which case you MUST do a cold backup i.e. shut down database and copy all files - including redo log files. Be aware that when you do a restore you will lose all changes made since the last cold backup.
  2. Switch to ARCHIVELOG as suggested, you then have the option of doing either hot or cold backups. This also allows you a lot more flexibility about backing up and restoring - individual tablespaces, partial recovery etc etc.

There is a bunch of documentation available on the subject of backup & recovery. I suggest you check it out - it is an interesting (and complex) subject ...
