Forms 4.5 and dBase - possible?

Has anyone been able to successfully use Forms 4.5 with dBase, Foxpro or Visual Foxpro tables? I've tried getting various ODBC drivers form Microsoft and Oracle and can get the connection ok but when I try and query up a base table block connected to a dBase table, I get an oracle error.
Any suggestions how I might get this to work?
