Oracle7 vs. Oracle8 Replication

Has anybody had any experiance with Oracle8 replication?

I've had a lot of problems with Oracle7 replication using an asynch multi-master scheme with 5 replicas. My local Oracle rep. recommended upgrading to Oracle8. Apparently replication has been totally re-written and internalized in version 8.

The version 7 implementation was not up to the task, being written in PL/SQL and using triggers.

Any feedback would be appreciated.
