ODBC and Access Question?

I'm trying to build a sql pass through query that appends data from a local table in my access database to one on our server which is running oracle 7.3. I'm using the insert into command syntax. I'm not sure how to address the local tables in the sql commands. Can this be done? It may be that the nature of a pass through prohibits such a request, but I don't know.
