Have you checked with Sun? I seem to recall seeing something on SunSolve about this.

I just looked it up: Bug# 1159792 - Winsock crashes when using SQL*Net. The client got around the problem by switching to FTP Software PC/TCP. Have you tried another TCP/IP stack?

To be honest, I just finished evaluating a number of TCP/IP and NFS packages, including PC-NFS Pro 2.0. PC-NFS Pro was the lamest of the bunch.
