You didn't give information about the Oracle and OS version.

This is a BUG in 7.2.2 and 7.2.3.

Call Oracle and get the patch (info below)

This is a patch for bug 342755 (Base bug #322904). The patch should be applied to V7.2.3 of Oracle RDBMS for Sun Solaris 2.3/2.4
