Oracle does not and will not have any problems relating to dates until approximatley 6047 A.D. and I am sure they will slip in a patch by mid september of the year prior to that.
That is if you use Oracle DATE formats. Any code which is dependent upon a CHAR or NUMBER or VARCHAR2 representation is the responsibility of the coder.
