Lockup of SQL *Net when a Trigger runs

We are running Oracle 7.2 on an NT Server and SQL *Net 2.2 on Win 95
WOrkstations. Our DBA's workstation is the only PC that doesn't lock up
when updating records which in turn causes a trigger to write to a
change log file. We are all running the same versions of SQL *Net, etc.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
