SALARY:           $70 - 85K  Depends upon experience

JOB DUTIES:
Responsible for directing and participating in the analysis, design, evaluation, testing, and implementation of computer systems (software and sometimes hardware). Work with users on the identification of requirements for information processing applications. Develops project proposals, justifications, schedules, implementation/conversion plans, participate in obtaining necessary approvals and resource commitments. Manage system projects from inception through implementation, effectively communicating adjustments with department heads and users. Designs and develops detailed system specifications. Develop systems programs, according to specification, or, where applicable, supervises internal and/or external resources in the development of programs. Prepares or coordinates the preparation of necessary documentation, both technical and user. Performs or directs implementation readiness testing and coordinates the implementation effort. Trains user personnel in the conversion, implementation and ongoing operation of the system. Performs ad hoc user and system maintenance/support. Continually updates knowledge of software/network industry.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor degree or equivalent and 2-5 years experience in programming and analysis. Exercise independent judgment and is self-directed on problems of diverse scope. Sufficient experience or ability to contribute to the development of business practicesindependent of information systems technicalities. Complex problem solving skills,frequent user contact, independent work habits and excellent judgment required. Working knowledge of client/server technologies (relational databases, Internet/Web technologies), knowledge of 4GL and database languages. Working knowledge of Oracle Forms,C/C++, HTML and Perl languages a plus. Working knowledge of Unix also a plus. Effective oral and written communication/presentation skills. Familiarity with software development or technical support environments.
