Orcale with Excel on Mac--NOT Query?

We're doing performance tests with Oracle7 to Mac (Excel) connectivity.

MSQuery is absurdly slow passing data back to Excel...is there a better soluion, such as Glue, which will work on Macs directly querying Oracle from Excel (and is it true that Glue is no longer supported by Oracle?)
