US-FL-MIAMI Hard-Core Oracle DBA Needed Immediately

TCS is a rapidly-growing, cutting-edge telecommunications company based in Miami, with branch offices overseas and elsewhere in South Florida. To accommodate our accelerated business development around the world, we have recently acquired a powerful Oracle database platform. As a result, we are urgently in need of a highly skilled personnel to help us manage our database systems which are managed centrally, but are distributed over numerous foreign sites.

The applicant should have, above all, solid knowledge and experience as an Oracle DBA. Experience with application development with Oracle is preferred. Additionally, proficiency in both UNIX and Microsoft Windows NT is required.

Job responsibilities:

• Perform routine database maintenance.
• Manage user accounts.
• Manage parallel and replicated servers.
• Install Oracle software, on both the server side and the client side.
• Troubleshoot, pinpoint problems, and provide solutions quickly.
• Configure and fine-tune systems physically and logically to maximize server performance.
• Work with application developers to ensure optimal table designs, index creations, and query constructions.
• Assist with developers and regular users with any issue concerning Oracle.
