I had that problem last summer with Gateway Pentiums with STB video cards. Something about the STB meta-drivers is incompatible with PO7. Last I heard each company was blaming the other... AFAIK the only workaround (besides getting a new video card) is to disable the meta-drivers and use the windows VGA driver.
