Check the values for ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID (case sensitive) as set up for oracle user before running sqlplus . These values need to be the same for other users. (On UNIX system you could possibly check the login scripts for setup values).

I suspect that the user is not set for the correct instance of Oracle. Received on Sun Jul 07 1996 - 00:00:00 CEST
