Just like with 2.0 , Reports 2.5 can be runtime on Unix and development on Win95/NT, WIn31, MAC or Motif.

In 3.0 reports can be executed from the client directly on the server, and output directed back to the client.

The same functionality can be accomplished with 2.5 by using Database Pipes (package in the Oracle server). Basicly the reports runtime on Unix can be started up waiting for requests (issued from clients) via the database, to execute reports.
