Oracle : client/server database (real database system) Full use of SQL multitasking/multiuser Multi OS (w3.x, w95, NT, VMS, unix ......) Need a lot of knowledge & training foxpro: Simple database program, not client server (not real) limited use of SQL not multitasking and only multiuser when you are a real good programmer Only running on DOS or windows ease to run database program.
With the foxpro for windows it is possible to make ODBC connection to an oracle database. In this way you will have the power of a real DBMS and the simplicity of foxpro. But when you wanna do this you might consider running MS-Access (much better with odbc, and not dying in the end) Received on Fri Jun 21 1996 - 00:00:00 CEST
