Regarding problems with porting Windows FMBs to Macintosh, you will get much different (and better) results if you set the Coordinate System properties to Centimeters or Inches instead of Points or Pixels. Boilerplate items, windows, etc will be the correct size and will correctly positioned in relation to other items on the canvas.

Also, it is a good idea to spend some time editing your Font Aliases file (located in System Folder:Preferences). Getting fonts mapped correctly will eliminate many problems.

We do a great deal of Mac/Windows development, and have found that addressing the above two issues makes porting to Macintosh very straightforward. Hope this helps.
