My reply is a bit self-serving, but if you have access to COMPUSERVE, check out their ORACLE forum. In the next couple of days, I will be uploading the first two modules of a four module Introduction to ORACLE course that I created in MS Powerpoint. (The free distributable PowerPoint viewer is also there as well as on the Microsoft sites.) Each module is what I created to teach my class, and is designed for a 3 HR session. The course covers: What is a Database? What is a RELATIONAL Database? Basic Terminology. Evolution of Client/ Server. What is Distributed Processing/ Databases. Session/ Module 2 has: more Basic terminology, What are the ORACLE Instance and Database? What is the Schema? Session 3/ Module 3 will pick up with more Basic terminology and SQL & embedded SQl, PL/ SQL & Dynamic SQL and so on. Several misc areas will also be covered in 3 & 4 including ODBC.
