But it can be easily modified to be destructive. The same attack method could be used by Access, Excel, etc. The moral of this story is only use ASCII files, and accept no word documents, excel spreadsheets, etc, over the Net. But is the world smart enough to switch to Andrew under X (which provides object linking and embedded, but totally as ASCII files that can be versioned, etc).
