-- The tnsnames.ora file should be placed in your $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin directory. Although I believe this will change as Oracle database installations start to fall in line with the recommended OFA(optimal flexible architecture). With System 5 & OFA, the static (executables) will remain in $ORACLE_HOME, while the dynamic portions of the database configuration would be separtated by disk/directories to $ORACLE_BASE.Received on Thu May 09 1996 - 00:00:00 CEST
