According to the sales blurb on SQL Server the max. db size is 8 TB...yes, that's 8 TERABYTES ! want more ? - max. no. of tables/db = 2 billion, max no. of db's per server=32,767.... i think i'll stop there.
We all know about min. and max. specifications & newsgroups are v. useful for reality checks every so often.
as the previous poster said - 5 gig is a realistic figure -
