Hi all,

TOAD (Tool for Oracle Application Developers)

T.O.A.D is the premier developers tool for working with Oracle 7.x databases. Its primary function is to assist application developers in the writing and testing of SQL queries that access Oracle 7.x databases. This program makes it easy to work with SQL queries, tables, procedures, functions, and packages.

You can check out some more info, and screen shots of TOAD at: http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/SChapman_5

In general, you use this program by opening one or more Edit Windows and typing SQL into them. When you want to test your queries, press F9 or the "Run" toolbar button.

Here are some of TOAD's features:

  • Use an SQL Edit Window to test queries or view and edit data
  • Recall up to the last 10 previously executed statements
  • Save and Recall statements from a personal SQL list
  • Process script files
  • Compile and execute procedures
  • Compile triggers, functions, and views
  • View table structures
  • View constraints
  • View DBMS Output
  • Execute Explain Plan and view results
  • Export script files
  • Connect to multiple databases
  • MDI interface for multiple SQL Edit windows, Table Edit windows, etc.
  • Save query output to file, clipboard, or printer in various formats

An eval copy is available at:
