Keymaps for multiple keyboards

Does anyone have any experience with mapping their keyboards to the various Oracle products? I am currently having only limited success using emacs to capture the keyboard output and then entering that into an Oraterm resource file. Has anyone found a good way of capturing keyboard output and then translating that into the Oraterm resource file in a different manner? Apps used? I was hoping to get some suggestions about different processes people have gone through. BTW, this is for Forms 3.0, and SQL Menu 5.?.
