Storing Crystal Reports in Oracle Databases

Has anyone tried to store a report file (in this case a Crystal report, but could be any ASCII or binary file) in an Oracle 7.1.x.x database? We are trying to develop a flexible reporting system so we can develop reports on the back-end without having to re-distribute our VB client-app everytime we want to make a report change, so we were going to store the report name, title, .rpt file, and other stuff in the database and have the app query against this table to see what reports are available. We are currently experimenting with RAW and LONG RAW variables. Does Oracle support BLOB's?
