Try setting:
 ORAENV_ASK=NO
 ORACLE_SID=PROD
 export ORAENV_ASK ORACLE_SID
 . oraenv

 The oraenv connand look in the '/etc/oratab' or '/var/opt/oracle/oratab' for Oracle_SID and set ORACLE_HOME according to this.
