Does anyone know the amount of real memory an Oracle user
process uses.



In the Oracle7 AIX 3.2.5 Installation Guide section on sizing, 
Oracle says that each additional user requires 482 Kb of memory.



The following is the result of a "ps gu" command.  The man file says that 
the %MEM column is the percentage of real memory that the process is 
using.

As far as I know I have 256 meg RAM.



How can I translate the %MEM numbers to the estimate??



2% of 256M is 5M.  This can't be right.
