I believe there is an Oracle-supplied package you can load into the
database called 'dbms_utility'
( on unix, located at $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin) that includes a procedure
'compile_schema'
and 'analyze_schema' (or analyze_all, I forget). Hope this helps.
