HP 700 and Oracle

I have worked on Sequent, IBM, DG and DEC UNIX servers as an Oracle DBA / UNIX Systems Administrator, and finally have a real reason to buy my own HP workstation.

Please let me know what your Oracle 7.1.6 and 7.2 experiences are with the HP 700 series workstations. I want to use this work station as an Oracle database server on a 3 or 4 node PC test LAN. I'd like to go multi-processor, but only as an upgrade option right now (%>)$ . . . . What hardware model(s) and software versions do you recommend?
