Stack overflow running Personal Oracle7

Hi!

I have a stackproblem that occurs when I use the oracle tools after installing Personal Oracle7 for windows on a COMPAQ DESKPRO XE 560. It's a pentium 60 mhz with 24 Mb RAM.

When running the Oracle tools, such as the database manager, oracle71.exe goes down with a message that a stack overflow occured. This occurs randomly. Sometimes I can startup the database and then for instance startup the object manager before it fails and I have to reboot.

To eliminate the possibility that I have made som errors when creating my databases I installed the starter database that Oracle includes with the installation. The same thing occurs when trying to adminstrate it.

I have tried this with a clean machine (no network drivers for instance). I've tried to increase the amount of stacks in config.sys. Oracle support mentioned that smartdrv can mess up things. I tried without a cache manager.

Nothing works!

The identical installation works without problems on my other environments so maybe this is related to the COMPAQ-machine?
