ARGH!!!!! I was just informed I need to come up with a way to allow for 'batch' reporting for our new accounting package which has 380+ reports all witten in RPT (ugh)...

I have come up with a way for the users to submit reprots, and an OS/2 rexx process to kick them off remotely, but I have to come up with a way to pass the report parameters into it from the DOS command line. The RPT files all have the .ASK prompt to gather report params, so I tried to just store the params in a text file and pass them in with redirection like

rpt infile outfile userid < data.prm

And with just one .ASK and one param to pass this works, but it fails when there are more than one .ASK, it ust ignores all the redirected input and runs with NO parameters....

As an aside, does anyone know if it's still possible to get RPT for OS/2?

Any suggestions/ideas
[beside re-writing all the reports in something other than RPT...:)]

Thanks
RonO
