ORACLE 8 Vs 7 ?

Does anyone know when Oracle 8 will be out and how different it will be be from V7? I heard that it will be Oracle's Object Orientated DB - does this mean that OO will be compulsory?! Specifically, how would it affect existing Forms 4.5/Oracle 7 systems? Reply by email would be much appreciated. Thanks.
